======= Druid Requirements: All druids applying for a raiding position with Meta must meet the following requirements as of patch 3.1.2:
Class Captain: Kigali
Level 80
Spec: All specs are currently being considered for invitation. If your spec does not include key raiding talents or makes use of “PVP” talents you may be asked to respec. *You are expected to know the difference between the two.
Dreamstate specs will not be evaluated for healing spots. Feral Cat specs will not be evaluated for tanking spots. Moonkin specs must have /dance bound to a hotkey. *Your spec is one of the first things that will be evaluated upon review of your application.
Gear Level: Meta is currently raiding Ulduar, to be considered for a raid invite your gear should at least be on par with that from 25man Naxx, Sartherion, and Malygos. You are expected to know what gear choices provide the most benefit to your class and/or raid role. Highest iLevel gear is not necessary as long as you are prepared to provide intelligent commentary on why your gear choices are appropriate. The same goes for enchants. “If you are applying for a raiding position, your gear will be scrutinized. It MUST be enchanted for PVE purposes. Please log out in the gear you intend to be evaluated (healing, tank, etc).” -Deadbeat
Enchants/Gems: All gear much be enchanted with the best available PVE enchants (see above). Exceptions may be made for chest and weapon enchants unless these items are of iLevel 223 or higher. All gems must be of at least superior quality, green gems and perfect cuts are not acceptable at the level of content in which this guild participates. Gem color and cut selections will be examined to the same degree as talent and gear selections and should be appropriate for your class/role.
Glyphs: You are required to have Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth in one of your Minor glyph slots at all times, regardless of spec. All other glyphs may be tailored to personal taste/playestyle as long as you are prepared to back up your selections with intelligent reasoning and explanation.
Attributes: It is important that you show a balanced selection of beneficial stats while maintaining adequate levels of “secondary” stats. You should also have an acceptable priority order for each stat.
Consumables: These should be carried with you to every raid, without exception.
Potions: 20 or more Runic Mana/Health, whichever is appropriate for your spec. Haste potions and Wild Magic potions are a bonus for DPS specs. Flask: You should be flasked for every boss pull and carry enough flasks to last throughout the entire raid. Food: 20 or more (at least Northern Spice equivalent, appropriate for your spec) Wild Spineleaf: 40 or more (all druids may be required to buff, regardless of spec)
Addons: If you are accepted to a raid then it is necessary for you to have the following addons updated and enabled.
Raid Frames: Pitbull, AG Unitframs, Grid, are all acceptable raidframe addons. The only requirement for this addon should be the ability to monitor health and mana bars for every player in the raid.
Dot/Hot Timers: HotCandy, ForteXorcist, DotTimer, Lifebloomer, etc.
BigWigs Boss Mods (not DBM)
ORA
MagicDKP: Required for DKP bidding
Ventrilo: must also have a working microphone with acceptable sound quality. If we can’t understand you then you do not have a working microphone. Period.

Hunter Requirements:Class Captain: Zaru Hunter Raid Requirements as of 5/28/09 Spec: I expect all hunters to be pure pve raid spec. No hybrid pve/pvp specs will be allowed for raiding. Currently Marks and Survival are the only viable raid specs Stats:Stat requirements as Marksmanship: AP: 4400+ Crit %: 34+ Hit capped from gear Stat requirements as Survival: AP: 4400+ Crit %: 34+ Hit capped from gear Consumables:1. [Flask of Endless Rage]: Enough for the entire duration of the raid (~4) 2. Food: Generally Fish Feasts are provided by the guild but all hunters must have either 80 ap or 40 agi food on them for times when Fish Feasts are not provided 3. [Runic Mana Potion] and [Runic Healing Potion] (or [Crazy Alchemist's Potion] for Alchemists): I expect all hunters to have both mana and healing potions and to use them as needed4. Arrows/Bullets: [Mammoth Cutters] or [Saronite Razorheads] are required for all boss fights. Terrorshaft or Frostbite bullets can be used for trash. Gems/Enchants:All gear should be properly gemmed and enchanted. If you do not know what are proper gems/enchants are for hunters research it before you apply or don’t apply. Trinket:[Darkmoon Card: Greatness] : This trinket is not required but its highly recommended all hunters begin working towards. This is because unless you’re killing hard mode Thorim and Algalon on a weekly basis it’s not going to be replaced until Icecrown. Philosophy:I am looking for dependable hunters that know their class very well. This includes even being able to use abilities such as deterrence and disengage when things start to get messy. As hunters with tons of survival abilities we should always be one of the last people to die. I am also looking for players that are up to date on current theory crafting and can think for themselves. I enjoy helping hunters make small tweaks to improve dps but will not be explaining basic hunter mechanics. I do not want to be mandating specs/enchants/gems to all other hunters but would rather engage in an active discussion about which is the best for each person depending on current gear, playstyle and other factors. If you can’t think for yourself I can’t use you. In raids I need hunters that do not require hand holding. I’m not going to micromanage or constantly check up on other hunters in the middle of fights. I expect hunters to do research about the bosses so they understand the mechanics of the fight in order to maximize dps. If you are a player that constantly dies to avoidable damage (void zones) or has poor dps then fix it before you apply or don’t apply. Meta is not a learning guild but one where we are going after the hardest content. We need people that already know how to play and that can get the job done. Exceptions:I understand that RNG can be cruel and that gear does not equal skill. If you feel you have a solid understanding of the hunter class and have good dps skillz apply and I’ll see what can be done.

====== Mage Requirements: Class Leader: ShizznetRaid Requirements- Raid required addons (i.e. ora2, Deadly Boss Mods, Omen) - 5-10 Mana/Healing Potions - 40 [Arcane Powder]- Consumables: Gear Level RequirementsNaxx 25 and Beyond:- Lvl 200+ gear from heroics, Naxx 10, or equivalent crafted gear (don't be coming in w/ no crappy greens/blues)
- Enchanted Gear (see next section below for a list)
- Fill all gem sockets with at least perfect cut gems for 25 man raids. This means +16 dmg, +8 dmg +7 crit/hit, +14 hit gems at least and have your Meta gem socket filled if you have one (+21 crit & +3 critical strike dmg bonus is best)
- 1400 unbuffed +spell dmg minimum
- 236 minimum +hit rating with Elemental Precision...315 minimum +hit raiting w/o Elemental Precision
Gear enchants:The following enchants are "minimum" requirements. Feel free to exceed them. Spec RequirementsAt this time, I'm not going to enforce anyone to have a particular spec other than that it be a pure PvE spec. PvP is great, but if you want to come to 25 mans, make sure you respec to an appropriate PvE spec. At this time, a 0/53/18 spec is outperforming all others. You can Armory me if you like for talent point distribution. If you prefer a different spec and you're keeping up with the rest of us, great. However, if your numbers are repeatedly lower than others of your class, you will be required to respec if you want to be included in the 25 man raids. Performance Requirements:Last but not least, your performance is required to be on par with the content we're working on. That means: - CC the target/symbol you're assigned and keep it CCed for the duration of the pull.
- Maintain high dps/dmg output. Some fights require us to CC, kite, etc., but do as much dmg in the meantime.
- Do NOT go afk without letting me or an officer know. If you need to use the restroom, grab a snack, etc, go for it, but try to do it during a time when it's not holding the raid up (i.e. trash pulls).
- Keep vent quiet as much as possible during boss fights. Our guild is known for having fun and joking in vent, but keep that to a minimum during boss fights.
- I and the officers review WWS reports for ways to improve our own and the guild's performance. I suggest doing the same yourself. If we see you consistently underperforming, you may not see yourself on the roster until you improve. We're here to have fun, but we require your best when you play.
PLEASE bring to my attention any other useful enchants, requirements, etc. These requirements are guidelines and minimums for invites into Naxxramas raids. For some of the more difficult encounters (e.g. Sartharion +3) and future raid instance encounters, your raid performance will be taken into account and the minimum requirements increased.

====== Healbitch Priest Requirements:Class Leader: Potatoyakslast edit: 01.28.09 All healing priests applying for a raiding position in Meta must meet the following: * Must be honored or above with Sons of Hodir or must be a scribe. * Must meet the following stat requirements UNBUFFED1800 to spellpower300 + mp5 while casting (or 750 spirit) 15,000 HP 15,000 Mana Haste: Impress me Crit: Impress me No exceptions. Spec: Inner Focus - required 3/3 Meditation - required
Holy specific: Spirit of Redemption Guardian Spirit
Disc specific: Divine Spirit (not Improved until it's fixed) Power Infusion Pain Supression PenanceAttendance: Can attend 2/3 raids per week. Gear: Even if you've got a spare blue dungeon item or a T6 helm, it needs to be enchanted and gemmed. I hate lazy raiders. Reagents: You are expected to have a full stock of reagents for any buff or spell that you will cast during a raid. Consumables: All raiders must provide their own consumables for every raid – do not assume that someone else will have extras that you can "borrow". Be prepared to bring, a flask or elixirs and food. Holy priest specific questions: 1. Please tell me about the fsr (five second rule) and how it affects you. 2. Spirit vs mp5. Why/when? 3. [Flask of Distilled Wisdom] : Is this still useful? If so, why? 4. Can you name specific boss encounters (raid, 5-man) where binding heal is useful ? Additional Info: I know that sometimes gear or DKP doesn't always fall in our laps. If you're a superior player but your gear is not meeting our standards, please feel free to still apply. The worst that can happen is someone can butcher and derail your app. The best that can happen is that you wow us in your app and we can make an exception (ignoring the no exceptions comment FTW). -------------For Shadow Priesting------------- Shadow Priests:1800 spell power 15,000 HP 15,000 manahit capped (either via gear or talents) Vampiric Embrace - required Vampiric Touch - required Misery - required

====== Rogue Requirements:
Class Leader: Pito
All Rogues applying for a raiding position in Meta must meet the following:
- You are level 80. - Gear is easy to get so you should have mostly ilvl 213 items. - Your spec / gems / enchants should all reflect you know how to play a rogue. - You are respectful to other players. - You know your class, inside and out. - You want to raid, but realize you will not always get a spot.
The following will be considered when evaluating your application:
Spec
Combat, Mutilate, and HaT (but have you ever met a good hunter?) are all acceptable specs as long as you pull decent dmg
Gear
Mostly Ilvl213 gear even if you aren't in a endgame raiding guild already its not hard to get in pugs and pick stuff up so put forth a bit of effort.
Resistance Gear
LOL
Raid preparation
Knowing about the various consumables that contribute to a rogue's DPS and survivability, and having these things ready to go for a raid is an important characteristic that is hard to advertise in your application. Demonized wrote the previous sentence but I agree with him so there it stays.
References are very helpful; sponsorship by an existing guild member even better.

=======
Shaman Requirements:
Class Leader: Voidbringer
All Shaman applying for a raiding position in Meta must meet the following:
- Level 80. - Sense of Humor - Enjoy long Water Walking strolls on the beach.
Spec: Be willing to respec for raids as the need arises. You can allocate your points however you want, as long as you get the core talents that are necessary to the raid's success. If you come to raids missing core abilities and you refuse to respec, you will be replaced.
Attendance: Be available for as many raids as possible. If you need to miss a raid, let Voidbringer or one of the raid leaders know ahead of time. Invites are handled based on rotation and specific encounter needs, so all Shaman will be required to rotate.
Required Add-Ons: Standard Guild required addons. See into to raiding thread for complete details. Shaman have no specific addons needs, however a tracker for your Earth/Water Shield is handy.
Gear Requirements:
All: iLevel 200+ gear from heroics and raid zones (except for certain circumstances) Enchanted + Socketed (at least perfect) gear
Resto (unbuffed) – only spec that really matters at the moment. 1800+ Spell Power with Earthliving imbue. ~350-400 mp5 while casting with Water Shield active. Have ~200 Haste or more. Requires either [Totem of Forest Growth] or [Totem of the Bay] Glyph Reqs – [Glyph of Chain Heal], [Glyph of Water Mastery], and EITHER [Glyph of Earthliving Weapon] or [Glyph of Mana Tide Totem]
Elemental (unbuffed) Due to coming Elemental Shaman buffs, leaving this unfinished till class changes are complete. Not wanting to raid. Ever. We currently arn't rotating in an Elemental Shaman at the moment. If we do decide to bring one, they would rotate through with other DPS classes.
Enhancement (unbuffed) 2500+ Attack Power ~23% Crit ~180 Hit Enhancement shaman do NOT have any set raid spot, they will be rotating with other DPS classes.. however due to many of their buffs being given by other classes, they no longer occupy a high priority for raid rostering. We currently have one, and would be very unlikely to accept another.
Enchants/Gems: You should know what your class requires and what stats should be emphasized. If you have made poor choices, your application will be picked apart by assholes and ridiculed for several pages worth of posts. Be prepared to defend your choices if you have chosen non-standard ones. All gear items are expected to be enchanted/gemmed with not-cheap-ass materials. Empty sockets will result in mocking.
Reagents/Consumables: All raiders must provide their own consumables. If you do not have consumables, you will be replaced with someone who does. Do not try to "borrow" someone else's - bring your stuff.
All specs: 10 Ankhs 2 Flasks of the appropriate type for your spec. 20x Runic Mana Potions Bandages Proper buff food for your spec – your own stats will determine what you prioritize, but have the 40 stam varieties. For healers, +spell power, +crit, +haste, or +mp5 are acceptable.
Additional Info: - Must be present in the Meta channels at all times (Healing channel, Standby channel) - Read the important information that are stickied throughout the forums and check the forums regularly - Be willing to stick around and contribute to strategies while learning boss fights - All raiders are expected to have two high level professions, especially ones that help the guild.

======= Warlock Requirements:Class Leader: DeadbeatUpdated: 3/24/09All Warlocks applying for a raiding position in Meta must meet the following: Spec:- Currently, there are no spec restrictions in raids, as long as you're not gimping yourself a/o PvP spec'd. Attendance:- With the exception of our dedicated DKP tracker and raid leader, raid invites are handled on a rotation basis. There are certain situations that may require the rotation be modified to accommodate a particular strategy (i.e. needing a Warlock off-tank, etc..) but all effort will be made to make this as fair as possible. Required Addons:In addition to the guild required addons (oRA2, Omen, Deadly Boss Mods), Mods that provide a timer on spells (like banish and fear), and that track soulstone usage are a good idea to have. DoTimer and Forte have proven themselves to be very good in this space. Gear Level Requirements- Lvl 219+ gear from Ulduar 10 or above
- Enchanted Gear (see next section below for a list)
- Fill all gem sockets with Rare gems or better. Green gems not allowed!
- 1950 unbuffed +spell dmg minimum
- 11% (290) minimum +hit rating
Gear enchants:The following enchants are "minimum" requirements - Feel free to exceed them. Reagents: - Must bring a full bag of shards ( 28 min ) to every raid. Consumables: All raiders must provide their own consumables for every raid. Do not assume that someone else will have extras that you can "borrow". Be prepared to bring, at the minimum: - [Flask of the Frost Wyrm] x4 - [Heavy Frostweave Bandage] x20 - Spell damage or Spell crit food x20 - [Runic Healing Potion] x10 - [Runic Mana Potion] x5 (yes, i'm serious) Additional Information:- Summon meeting stones at beginning of raid and as needed throughout - Must be present in the Meta warlock channel for the full duration of the raid, since this is where debuff and Soulstone assignments (if any) will happen. You must have a high attention span and good focus. This is crucial especially when learning new strats. Should you be invited to the guild, we cannot guarantee you a raiding spot.

====== Warrior Requirements:Class Captain: LerendBasic Gearing RequirementsThese requirements apply to warriors of all shapes and sizes. If you can't get the gear together to reach these marks, you need to run more high level 5-man instances, PuG more 25 man raids, or whatever, to get to them before we consider your app. Note: you do not need to be wearing the same set of gear to hit all the marks. These are EASY, so don't complain about them. - You must have a full set of ilvl 213+ items. If you don't know what ilvl is, this is probably the wrong guild for you. TalentsYou must be an appropriate PvE spec during all raids. DPS warriors in <Meta> are welcome to raid as either Arms or Fury as long as you can perform at the required level, but whichever spec you choose must be PVE oriented (no pvp talents). What you do with your dual-spec and on your free time is your own business, however there may be times when you are asked to respec to a different PvE spec (prot to fury, fury to prot, etc) for certain fights. If you are not ok with respeccing when asked, this is not the guild for you. Consumables, Gems, Enchantments, First Aid- You must have the best available enchantments on all of your main-spec gear at all times as follows: * Weapon enchants such as Berserking/Blood Draining/Blade Turning/etc. * The proper Epic quality Leatherworking leg armor kit * Sons of Hodir Exalted or Inscription shoulder enchants * The proper reputation-based Helm enchant. * Blacksmith crafted belt buckle socketed with appropriate gem * Top-Tier stat boosts on all other gear
-You must have the proper Superior quality gems or better in all gear of Ulduar/ToC10 quality. Any 25-man ToC gear (Tier 9.33 especially) MUST be socketed with Epic quality gems. Perfect cuts and regular green gems are unacceptable. Consumables: -You are expect to carry and use these items during every raid: You must have First Aid high enough to use [Heavy Frostweave Bandage]. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Basic Player RequirementsThese requirements apply to warriors of all shapes and sizes. If you think there's even a remote chance you'll have a problem with these, it's probably in your best interests not to apply. - You must be respectful to fellow guildies - You must be able to follow directions quickly and accurately - You must understand your class's role and know your class's abilities - You must be willing to ask questions when you don't understand something - You must be willing to sit out any raid, at any time - You must be willing to tank if you are directed to do so - You must have ORA2 installed and turned on during raids - You must have Ventrilo installed and turned on during raids - You must have Omen installed and turned on during raids - You must be willing to research any and all boss fights *BEFORE* the raid startsRequirements for Prospective Tanks- You must have 30000+ health unbuffed (32000 for Taurens) - You must have 24000 armor unbuffed - You must have at least 540 defense rating - You must be as well geared as you can possibly manage. Consult tankspot.com if you need help finding equipment outside a raiding environment. We will expect you to have the ilvl 213+ gear, or better, if you expect your application to be considered. Full Epic quality gear is a requirement for any prospective tank (trinkets are an exception). - You must be able to generate 4000+ TPS as measured by Omen. Requirements for Prospective DPS Warriors- You must be able to do substantial DPS (4000+ DPS in a raid). Pretty simple really. - You must have a tanking weapon and a shield on you during all raids. - You must have an off-spec protection set. It does not have to meet all of the prospective tank requirements, but it is recommended that it does. - You must be willing to put on your ilvl 213+ armor and shield and tank when needed. If you have problems with this, this is not the guild for you. For the most part, there is a single Prot warrior and a single DPS warrior spot in our raids. Meeting the above requirements is obviously no guarantee of even getting a trial, and only the most exceptional applications will be considered.

However, if your numbers are repeatedly lower than others of your class, you will be required to respec if you want to be included in the 25 man raids. Performance Requirements:Last but not least, your performance is required to be on par with the content we're working on. That means: Be ready to pop in FP for any paticular reason and save people who can't take a beating. Maintain high dps/dmg output. Some fights require us to CC, kite, etc., but do as much dmg in the meantime. Do NOT go afk without letting me or an officer know. If you need to get up at any paticular time please make your afk as quick as possible and please try to use an appropriate time for your afk (before a boss is not an appropriate time to afk). Keep vent quiet as much as possible during boss fights. We love to enjoy ourselves and the people we're playing with but when we need to focus that's just it. So please keep all idle chatter during boss encounters to a minimum. I and the officers review WWS reports for ways to improve our own and the guild's performance.
